Hull 2-3 Man Utd: Premier League Player Ratings

Hull

Allan McGregor: Fine save from Cleverley at 2-1 and could do nothing about the goals. Picked up a knock when Young went in for a 50-50 ball and was subbed at half time. 6/10.

James Chester: Smashed in a close range goal for his first ever in the Premier League and against his former club too. Rather cancelled that out by putting through his own net in the second half. Moved to left back late on. Had a chance to snatch a point at the death, but De Gea saved his effort. All action stuff from the defender. 5.5/10.

Alex Bruce: Did not get tight enough to Rooney for United equalizer, but put in some massive tackles that roused the crowd. Headed against the bar at 2-2 in the second half. Harper got him out of jail following a poor back-pass. 5.5/10.

Curtis Davies: Smalling got the jump on him for first United goal. Allowed Welbeck into him and poor clearance for the United equalizer. Spurned a glorious chance from a set piece to restore Hull's lead second half. 5/10.

Ahmed Elmohamady: Won the controversial corner that led to opening goal. Quiet performance from the Egyptian wingback apart from that. 5/10.

Jake Livermore: Midfielder on loan from Spurs continues to go steady for the Tigers. Outshone here by his colleagues. 5/10.
