2. Racism
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFO9eAB9uVA The ugliest of Suarezs many baffling moments came during a game for Liverpool against Man Und in 2011 where it was alleged Luis Suarez used a racial slur towards Und player Patrice Evra. I have no doubts by the way Suarez did use a racially offensive term towards Evra and there is no way to defend Suarez using racist language. The saga after the match just kept rumbling on between them and the two clubs, it probably ran on for too long but eventually Suarez was found guilty. He was subjected to a huge fine and an 8 game ban from league fixtures now this episode wasnt only damaging for Suarez who was now seen as a racist but for Liverpool as well. The club blindly went in supporting Suarez even after an FA panel found him guilty which made for some terrible PR for the Reds to be seen supporting someone guilty of using racist language. Its is a crazy incident, one of many in Suarezs career and after all the bizarre moments he had already racked up by this stage he should know to keep his mouth shut Luis Suarez still claims his innocence on this issue blaming it on some Man Und plot which is deeply sad to keep denying something even after serving the punishment. Even more head shaking stupid was Suarezs decision a few months later when he refused to shake Evras hand when the sides met again in 2012. The pre match handshake is normally nothing worth watching but Suarez moved past Evra and refused to shake his hand it angered the Man Und players and heaping further embarrassment on Liverpool. The club didnt know Suarez would snub the handshake So Suarez managed to re-offend Evra by not shaking his hand, annoy the rest of Evras Man Und teammates He then lied to his employers making them look stupid even after they backed Suarez up throughout the whole incident. It is amazing Liverpool didnt get rid of him just from all the bad publicity they got but that is the pure paradox of Suarez. He is so talented and can win games just on his own so its harder to get rid of him despite the many times he screws up for Liverpool.
