Liverpool: 5 Youngsters That Will Shine This Season

1. Philippe Coutinho

Philippe Coutinho Another January acquisition, Philippe Coutinho signed from Inter Milan earlier this year and enjoyed a very impressive debut season at Liverpool, scoring three times. But it was his goal-making rather than goal-scoring qualities that really caught the eye, with the Brazilian providing seven assists in the 13 Premier League outings he was afforded. Compared to Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho by former Espanyol manager Mauricio Pochettino, Coutinho is a typical Brazilian midfielder endowed with pace, trickery and flair - as you may expect from a Samba Star. At 21, Coutinho has already represented his country at senior level and was an integral cog of the squad that won the 2009 South American Under-17 Football Championships. Though he didn't feature for Brazil at the Confederations Cup this summer, he is expected to factor into the Brazil team ahead of next summer's World Cup and, hopefully for Liverpool, their starting XI for years to come. Which Liverpool youngsters do you expect to shine next season? Let us know in the comment section, below.
