2. Daniel Sturridge
Signed from Chelsea in January this year, Sturridge helped alleviate a striking shortage at Anfield for the latter half of last season following the departures of Andy Carroll, Dirk Kuyt and Craig Bellamy six months prior. The signing of the 23-year-old was a much-welcomed one as too much burden was being placed on Luis Suarez following the injury to Fabio Borini, and indeed the ex-Blues forward helped to take some of the pressure off. Sturridge scored a very impressive 10 Premier League goals in 14 appearances in 2012/13 and has earned comparisons with
Hulk and even
Thierry Henry A future England prospect, the former Manchester City ace has featured for the Three Lions at every level and also scored twice in five appearances for Great Britain at last summer's Olympic Games. Sturridge is expected to come into his own as he prepares for his first, full campaign in a Liverpool shirt and going off his performances for the club so far, we expect him to shine.
