Club: Dortmund Almost a year after snubbing Liverpool to join the German side, 25 year old Armenian schemer Henrikh Mkhitaryan teased Liverpool fans in March about the possibility of someday pulling on a Red shirt for the Anfield side, and Brendan Rodgers should test the waters this summer with a bid close to the £24.4m that Dortmund paid Shakhtar Donetsk. Ironically, Dortmund's fade over the past season has seen Liverpool succeed playing the same kind of attacking, expansive football that had made the yellow-wearing Germans one of the most exciting teams to watch in Europe, and it now looks like Mkhitaryan may have made a mistake in choosing not to speak to Brendan Rodgers. The player might be turned on by the fact that Liverpool's attempts to over-haul champions Man City will be a lot more potentially fruitful than Dortmund's attempt to usurp Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga, and by the fact that there's now a ready made space in the starting line-up at Liverpool, and in the same slot that he occupies at Dortmund.
