7. Antoine Griezmann

Club: Real Sociedad Given that he plays out on the left wing, Sociedad's French star wouldn't be a direct replacement for Suarez, but it would allow Daniel Sturridge to focus on a more central role - which was always one of his reasons for choosing Liverpool - along with Rickie Lambert, and with Griezmann out on the wing providing support, the England men would have a lot to get on the end of. Griezmann has put the Anfield side on alert in the past couple of days after he indicated that he wants a new challenge, and will not extend his contract in Spain. That is likely to cause a scrum for his attention, especially after he impressed for France in the World Cup, and though he is valued at £25m, Liverpool can undoubtedly afford it, and will not have to battle Arsenal for his signature, who chose to go for Alexis Sanchez rather than cement their own interest. The biggest problem for Liverpool would be PSG's interest, as they look to bring in more French talent to their core, but Brendan Rodgers' style of play would suit Griezmann well, and he could be sold on the club's ambitions to recapture last season's successes.
