In further attempts to shore up their leaky back four, Liverpool have been chasing Barcelona starlet Martin Montoya recently. The 22-year-old has just started to break into the Spanish champion's side and has made 10 La Liga appearances this season, but reports continue to link him with Liverpool. The Reds had entered talks for the rookie right-back, but had found it difficult to tie up a deal for the future star, who is out of contract at the Nou Camp this summer. With question marks surrounding his long-term future, Liverpool continue to chase Montoya's signature, and though it would come as something of a coup, chances are becoming less likely that it will come to fruition. Still, the Barca man has yet to pen a new deal, giving Liverpool continued hope.
