Liverpool Transfers: Analysis of Brendan Rodgers' Signings So Far

3. Oussama Assaidi (Undisclosed Fee from Heerenveen)

asss We haven't seen much of Assaidi, that is for sure, but what we have seen has been fairly convincing. The Moroccan is a skillful and very illusive winger. Although the fee was undisclosed it was thought to be some where around the £2million mark. This isn't a bad deal for a midfielder who scored 10 goals in 27 appearances in the Dutch League last year. However for various reasons the winger has had very little playtime this season and we are still left waiting to see what impact the 24 year old can truly achieve.

4. Joe Allen (£15 million from Swansea)

This was a move that Rodgers will have felt very comfortable with. the Welshman is a tried and trusted player for him and he had a great season during Rodgers final year in charge of Swansea. But his £15 million price tag was always going to put pressure on him. The 22 year old has played fairly well this season with his passing being top class and he has also made a total of 27 appearances for the Reds. Despite this he has faced criticism for playing too "safe" by not playing enough penetrating balls during games. It would certainly not hurt the midfielder to grab a goal or two once in a while for Liverpool as well. There has been comparisons with Joe Allen and Paul Scholes but I am yet to be convinced solely due to the fact Scholes is capable of scoring great goals. If Allen can fit this skill into his game at the Reds it will help him become a better all round player Sources: daily mail
