Liverpool Transfers: Analysis of Brendan Rodgers' Signings So Far

Samed Yesil (£1 million from Bayern Leverkusen)

samed yesil Yesil is certainly a signing for the future. He proved himself to be absolutely prolific in the Bayern Leverkusen youth ranks and he was rewarded with a big move to Liverpool. The German-Turkish striker has already made one appearance in the Europa League and one in the Premier league at the age of 18. It looks like Rodgers definitely has Yesil in his plans for the future and it will be interesting to see if Yesil has what it takes to play well and score goals at the highest level. source - daily mail

Nuri Sahin (Loan from Real Madrid)

nuri sahan This was a good bit of business from Rodgers, to gain the services of a player as good as Sahin on loan with the possibility of making it permanent. The Turkish international has been inconsistent in terms of starting games and has only made a total of 12 appearances. Despite this, Sahin has managed to find the net 3 times since making his move. On several occasions Rodgers has opted not to use Sahin and instead played other central midfield players such as Jonjo Shelvey when it may have been a better option to use Sahin. Rumours are also beginning to spread that Liverpool are happy to offload Sahin. We can only hope this is not the case and the Reds do not miss the chance to sign Sahin on a permanent deal.
