Liverpool vs Arsenal: 5 Ways Gunners Must Stop Reds

4. Better Link Up Play On Top Of Liverpool 18 Yard Box

There have been obvious signs of miscommunication between Olivier Giroud, Luka Podolski, and Gervinho in attacking situations where a normal Arsenal team would have produced a goal attempt. Instead, too many passes have gone one way and the player another. This is not surprising given the short amount of time these players have had to play together, but this is the third game of the season; it is time to come good. Additionally, Gervinho is having problems deciding when to dribble his defender to the outside or to pull out (reset) the attack, and when he goes outside his efficiency of getting crosses into the box is very low. This is not the game to have too many loose passes in the attacking third. Arsenal needs to send a statement to the rest of the league, and this is the match for it.
