Liverpool vs Crystal Palace - 5 Ways Eagles Could Pull Off An Upset

5. Double Up On Daniel Sturridge

Who would have thought that Danny Sturridge would already have scored 8 of Liverpool's last 12 league goals? It would seem he has flourished whilst the disgraceful Luis Suarez has been forced out on the side lines due to his assault of Chelsea's Ivanovic towards the end of last season. The London club may look back the decision to let Sturridge go as a major mistake as his goals would come as a welcome addition to a team finding it so hard to the net thus far this season. Having watched a fair bit of football recently I find it remarkable that defenders/midfielders sit back so much as it allows him time and space to create that spark and use his flair to get into positions he has no right to reach. Palace need to play a pressing game to keep Liverpool on the back foot and double up on the likes of Sturridge to force him into making mistakes and disposing him of the ball. By neutralising him you not only stop him scoring but also with the injury to Coutinho he will be one of the main outlets of creative, seen by the goal he made for Suarez on his return to the Liverpool side. If Holloway's side to close down and force Liverpool into making errors then they will stand more of a chance to cause that upset.
