1. Win The Big Games
Finishing at any place in the Premier League, no matter whether it be 17th, 10th, 4th or 1st, inevitably involves playing, and beating, the other teams around you. Triumphing over your competitors represents both a numerical and mental advantage that can be the difference between narrowly missing out and clutching the trophy. Manchester City have not fared well against their rivals for the title so far in the 2012/13 season. Their biggest rivals for the top spot, Manchester United, beat them 3-2. The closest to those two teams, Chelsea, drew with Mancini's men. What about teams looking for Champions league spots? Well, City won well at home to Tottenham, but have drawn with Everton, Liverpool and Arsenal so far this season. There's a difference between being champions and bullies, and Manchester City will have to start performing on the big stages and defeating their competition if they are to have any hope of restoring their status as English champions.
