Man City: 5 Reasons Why Joe Hart Should Get More Credit

3. He Is The Answer To England's Goalkeeping Problems

Whilst Jack Butland and others like George Long are showing fruitful signs of England€™s next generations, for a while fans and coaches alike, must have been almost on the verge of pulling their hair out in frustration and dismay at the state of English goalkeeping. One blunder followed another, with Robinson€™s miss kick, Carson€™s ball-through-the-body, along with the similar mishap by Green, and then David James€™ troubles in the mix - England was plainly suffering from a lack of goalkeeping depth. Hart can be more than just a gap filler stopping England€™s woes. Whilst there is pressure to perform to media expectations, like any international, he is still growing and has not yet peaked as a goalkeeper. hH is a long term option management can trust, like David Seaman, and he can go onto be a worldly talent if only he pushes himself, given the competition might not be there right now from England€™s ranks. Currently criticised for his own blips, he is still able to hold himself to account, and unlike other goalkeepers that have played for England, his confidence hasn€™t imploded or gone up in a cloud of smoke. Instead, he battles on and through adversity. England currently have some options in net, but it's not so long ago that David Stockdale was considered one of them, and while we have Jack Butland and perhaps Ruddy coming through, and Fraser Forster has shown some form for Celtic, without Hart, the team would still be missing a strong 'keeper.
