Man City Transfers: 5 Goalkeepers That Pellegrini Can Bring In To Replace Joe Hart

5. Willy Caballero (Malaga)

One man that Pellegrini has been highly rumoured to be interested in when the transfer window opens is Malaga No.1 Willy Caballero, who the Chilean coach knows well from his time spent at la Rosaleda. The as yet uncapped Argentine keeper has been a crucial part of Malaga's side since his move from Elche in 2011, and his performances have not gone unnoticed by several top clubs. The 32-year-old comes with buckets of experience and played a massive part in Malaga's rise in the Champions League last season. The club are currently experiencing financial difficulties, and are reportedly willing to sell if the price is right, meaning a move could be in the pipeline. The price itself would not even be an extortionate amount, and Pellegrini may feel that he is worth the money if only to provide competition for Hart. With Willy looking to impress ahead of next year's World Cup, he will be looking to secure regular first team football this season, and that is something that he will have to weigh up if an offer does come in January. It is a widely held belief that Pellegrini will go in for his former keeper, and the promise of Champions League football following their qualification to the next phase of the competition in February could be the clincher for the imposing keeper.
