Man City Transfers: 5 Players Manuel Pellegrini Can Do Without

1. Javi Garcia

You can ask virtually any City fan about Javi Garcia, and you will receive the same reply off most people - a negative one. I don€™t know what it is, but the 26-year-old just hasn€™t settled into the English game well at all, putting in uncountable substandard performances and frustrating fans with his poor passing, and complete lack of pace and awareness. To put it bluntly, in a very strong squad, Garcia stands out as a very average player - a player who does not belong at a top club like City. If Pellegrini was to consider selling Garcia, City could be looking at a substantial loss after former boss Roberto Mancini paid £15.8 million for the Spaniard in 2012. Nevertheless, Garcia€™s importance as a first team player is certainly questionable, and with the sheer strength of City€™s midfield, Pellegrini shouldn€™t miss him too much if he was sold.
