Man City Transfers: 5 Players Manuel Pellegrini Can Do Without

2. Edin Dzeko

I€™m sure this one will divide opinion, but for me Pellegrini should consider letting Dzeko move on, either this month or during the summer. Reports suggest several clubs, including AC Milan, are looking into making an offer for the 27-year-old, and it may be in the best interest of both parties if Dzeko was sold. It€™s no secret that Dzeko wants to be playing regular football €“ something which he stressed to the media repeatedly under Roberto Mancini last season. And due to the lethal partnership Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo have formed up front for City this season, it seems once again Dzeko has become fringe player for the Blues. He will no doubt remain a fan favourite for the rest of his time at the club, but while Dzeko is still seen as hot property across Europe, City might be wise to let him go and obtain a healthy fee while they can.
