4. RVP's Departure
RVP pulled a Judas and left our beloved Emirates for greener pastures (and £££), and that has completely transformed Arsenal's plan of attack in the new season. Instead of being a one-man team, Arsenal has revived its three-pronged offense to create havoc in the final third, with Podolski, Giroud, and Gervinho all comfortable switching positions on the field to create an end product. It's always difficult emotionally bury the departure of a superstar, but RVP's departure feels more like a blessing in disguise. RVP's partner in crime, Alex Song has also been shipped off to Camp Nou, meaning Wenger has had to diversify their midfield options as well. Arsenal going into the 5th match of the season seem much more robust and dynamic than it was at the same point last year, and there is a sense that the team will continue growing in belief even if things don't go their way against Manchester City. Mark my words, this Arsenal team is a team of winners.
