2. Alvaro Negredo
We haven't seen much of Spaniard, Alvaro Negredo, so far this season as Manuel Pellegrini has restricted the striker to the confines of the bench. Whilst that has allowed last season's top scorer Edin Dzeko some playing time, I feel it's time for Negredo to get the start he deserves. It hasn't been all bad for Negredo though, who has scored two goals in two of his substitute appearances so far this season. His first came in the 90th minute as a consolation away at Cardiff City, whilst his second was the opener in City's 2-0 win at home to Hull City - a game in which he replaced Edin Dzeko at half time. Negredo's height and power could prove to be helpful for City against Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand, especially from set-pieces. For a tall player, Negredo is also technically brilliant with his feet. Should he get even the slightest sight of goal, expect Negredo to shoot with pace and power. Renowned for being quite clinical, Negredo is likely to get a goal against compatriot David de Gea.
