Man Utd 1-2 Spurs: Premier League Player Ratings

Spurs

Hugo Lloris: Spilled a Smalling strike behind and did just enough to stop Welbeck. Got caught in no man's land at 2-1 up late on, but Dawson got him out of trouble. May vital saves late on to make up for earlier indiscretions. 6/10. Kyle Walker: England understudy right back returned and did a decent job. Had three different players to mark and adapted accordingly. 6/10. Michael Dawson: Left for dead by Welbeck early on, but lack of pace luckily not exploited often enough. Made some big clearances which outweighed his faults. 6.5/10. Vlad Chiriches: Great last line of defence. Given the man of the match award by BT commentary team and though he caught the eye in defence, we've given it to another player. 7/10. Danny Rose: United's goal came from his side, but the left back was athletic and kept Valencia very quiet. Most of the bombardment came down his side late on though. 5/10. Aaron Lennon: Brought a fine save out of De Gea when played in by Soldado. Assist for the winning goal on an evening where Lennon gave a timely reminder of his England claims in a World Cup year. Looks fully fit after injuries in the autumn. 6.5/10. Etienne Capoue: Solid enough at the base of Spurs midfield. Subbed. 5/10. Click next for more Spurs player ratings.
