Man Utd: 5 Factors That Prove David Moyes Is Still The Man For The Job

1. He Has Already Shown He Can Bring Through Young Talent

One of the major factors that saw Moyes appointed to the job at United in the first place was his ability to promote young talent to the first team. He showed this numerous times at Everton, with Rooney joined by players such as Jack Rodwell, who was also sold on for a massive profit. The most notable player that Moyes has already brought through from the United youth academy this season has been Adnan Januzaj, who got his chance thanks to the ineptitudes of Young and Nani, and has gone from relative obscurity to eight appearances in the league already this season. Moyes wasted no time in proving his eye for talent by promoting the young winger, giving hope to the rest of the youth squad, particularly players such as Guillermo Varela, who was brought in by United just before Moyes arrived at the club. Moyes has also stuck with players such as Phil Jones, who still at only 21-years-old, has a lot to learn at the top level. One player that the new manager does not seem too interested in is Wilfried Zaha, a player who United were chasing for a while before they snapped him up from Crystal Palace a year ago, beating off competition from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. Moyes however, has only used him once in a League Cup match, and the 21-year-old could be out on loan in the near future. Moyes' ability to promote youth coupled with the rest of the points in this list prove that all he needs is time to succeed, and it is only a matter of time before the club start seeing the fruits of their investment. Do you think United will win anything this season? Is Moyes the man they need? Tell us what you think!
