Man Utd: 5 Players That Have Fallen Foul Of Sir Alex Ferguson
5. Paul Ince
The midfield maestro Paul Ince joins Beckham, Stam, Van Nistelrooy and Keane on our list and this is thanks to his performance in United's 4-0 defeat in the Nou Camp at the hands of Barcelona in November 1994. Dubbed 'The Guv'nor' by his team mates, the writing was perhaps already on the wall for Ince, as we now know that there is only ever one 'Guv'nor' at Old Trafford.
After being marched into the dressing room by Sir Alex, he launched a tirade of abuse at his players, with Ince bearing the brunt of his frustrations. In the following summer, Ince was sold to Inter Milan. There appears to be no love lost between Ince and Ferguson after Ferguson branded him a 'big-time Charlie' in an ITV documentary in 1998. With United being rumoured to be interested in signing Ince's son Tom Ince from Blackpool, it remains to be seen whether Ince Snr will have any say in the matter and maybe have the last word against Ferguson.
It is no secret that there is only one boss at Manchester United and if you get on the wrong side of Sir Alex, one thing you can be sure about is that you won't be around the Old Trafford for very much longer.
