Man Utd: 5 Reasons Why Javier Hernandez Must Be Content With Being A Super Sub

3. Plays With A Point To Prove

Every time Chicharito comes off the bench for United, he always has something to prove to the manager. He knows he's playing for a potential place in the side's next game, which for him just means an earlier sub appearance. However, more minutes is what the striker is fighting for. If Hernandez grabs himself a vital goal, like the one he most recently scored against Stoke City, he considers his point made to the manager. While many players come on as a sub and are largely ineffective, Hernandez is a real livewire on the pitch, and works hard with and without the ball to be of a real asset to his side. Although he's said on a number of occasions how he would like more playing time afforded to him, he instead takes his frustration out on his opponents and it seems to have the desired effect. Nothing short of a model professional for United, the 25-year old plays like his career depends on it. Something which could prove to be very apt in the future.
