Man Utd Next Manager: 8 Candidates To Replace David Moyes
8. Pep Guardiola (Current Odds: 25/1)
Chances of him taking the job: Nil. One difficulty for United in finding a new boss is that there are currently so many top sides in demand for a top manager, most whom are relatively new to their posts, following a massive managerial shake-up last summer. As such, they're arent that many top bosses who would likely take the call. Guardiola, coming to the end of his freshman season at World Club Champions Bayern Munich has taken Bayern to another league title in record time, a German Cup final against Borussia Dortmund yet to come for which they are heavy favourites and a UEFA Champion's League semi-final against Real Madrid as they bid to become the first team to retain that very competition. Guardiola is regarded as one of the top managers in the game and whilst United's name value, financial muscle and legacy would certainly tempt Pep, he is just at the beginning of building a legacy with Bayern which he will have no reason to abandon. It's telling that he's the 8th most favourited man to take the post. There's almost zero chance of it happening.
Betting on being a brilliant brother to Bodhi since 2008 (-1 Asian Handicap). Find me @LiamJJohnson on Twitter where you might find some wonderful pearls of wisdom in a stout cocktail of profanity, football discussion and general musings. Or you might not. Depends how red my eyes are.
