Man Utd Next Manager: 8 Candidates To Replace David Moyes

7. José Mourinho (Current Odds: 25/1)

Chances of him taking the job: Nil. In almost the exact same circumstances as Guardiola, Mourinho is coming to the close of his first campaign back for his second spell at Chelsea and whilst there remains a strong possibility it could end trophy-less, Mourinho is highly unlikely to change horses now, when he's beginning to once again mould Chelsea into the team he wants them to be. Mourinho was tipped for years as a potential successor to Alex Ferguson once the Scot decided the day had arrived to hang up his boots (after kicking them) but if there was any chance José would have ever taken over the reigns at United, it would have occurred last season, as many thought it might. United, instead, went with Moyes, supposedly on Ferguson's request- a decision now that is beginning to look a disastrous one and Mourinho, having lost his dressing room at Real Madrid, instead returned to Chelsea, firmly closing the door on his candidacy for United manager. Whilst he would, no doubt, do a job at United, he isn't going to leave Chelsea now.
