Man Utd Transfers: 5 Players That Should Never Have Been Sold

2. Paul Pogba

Letting Paul Pogba go last summer looks like it has been a massive mistake on United's behalf. David Moyes has been left struggling for a regular and consistent partner for Michael Carrick in the centre of their midfield, even after the arrival of Marouane Fellaini. The perfect man to fill that gap is a young lad playing at Juventus, and yes, he was another one to be shown the door by Sir Alex. He always had massive potential, the fans and Fergie alike knew that. However, Pogba only made seven first team appearances at Old Trafford after signing from Le Havre in 2009. He moved to the Juventus Stadium in the summer of 2012 and hasn't looked back since, where he has scored 11 times in 47 appearances, including a couple of world class goals that have gone viral. It is believed that his wages was the problem at United in regards to a new contract, and Pogba did not hesitate to leave the club. At the time it was dismissed by the club's fans as just another youngster being let go, 'Fergie knows best' and all that. However, it makes you wonder would it be the same situation had it been Moyes that let him go?
