Man Utd Transfers: 5 Potential Clubs For Nani

3. FC Porto

nani With James Rodriguez already leaving the club for filthy rich Monaco and Christian Atsu linked to a number of Premier League clubs, a move back to Portugal to link up with league champions FC Porto doesn't seem such a long shot. Granted, Nani used to play for league rivals Sporting Lisbon, but that hasn't stopped the likes of Joao Moutinho and Marat Izmailov in the past. Should Atsu leave the club, as expected, Porto would be left lacking in the winger department - a whole which Nani could fill perfectly. Furthermore the Portuguese champions have more than enough to fund the transfer with the reported £60 million received from Monaco's raid on Rodriguez and Moutinho. The £38.5 million received for Rodriguez alone makes the £12 million needed for Nani's services seem like a no-brainer. Though 5 years older than the Colombian, a £30 million profit should not be sniffed at and Nani could be seen as the perfect replacement in these terms. An experienced Portuguese international with four Barclays Premier League trophies and a Champions League winners medal and numerous other accolades, Nani had - on paper - a very successful spell at the reds of Manchester, and he could opt for a bigger European club in terms of Champions League prospects but the lure of a return to Portuguese football may be more than enough to get Nani to sign on the dotted line.
