Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly growing more and more frustrated with current No.1 David de Gea and is rapidly losing confidence in the gaffe-prone shot-stopper. The Spaniard's costly mistake in the dying embers of United's game against Tottenham at White Hart Lane two weeks ago has proved to be the final straw for Ferguson, who along with goalkeeping coach Eric Steele believes that de Gea isn't cut out for the physicality of the Premier League.* All this has coincided with Victor Valdes' decision to reject a contract extension with Barcelona, and with his current deal expiring in June 2014,** the La Liga leaders may be tempted to cash in on him now whilst his market value is at its maximum potential rather than allow him to leave for a knock-down price this summer or for nothing next year.
