Man Utd Transfers: 5 More Signings Needed To Fix Red Devils

1. Edinson Cavani

Manchester United were put on red alert today when reports that Edinson Cavani wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain surfaced. United are battling hard to keep hold of Wayne Rooney but with their star man into the last 18 months of his contract with no sign of a renewal in sight, have started looking at replacements. And top of David Moyes's list is Cavani, who has scored 13 Ligue 1 goals in 19 appearances this season. The ex-Napoli man is said to be "unhappy" as PSG despite joining from the Italians last summer, with his feelings thought to stem from the fact he has been forced to play out wide to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic. And that has led to reports that United could once more break their club-transfer-record by shelling out £54 million for the Uruguayan attacker. Cavani's mooted arrival would deliver a huge statement of intent to United's rivals that they mean business, and also smooth over any drama should Rooney quit.
