Man Utd vs Arsenal - 5 Key Battles That Will Decide The Match

2. Nemanja Vidic vs Oliver Giroud

Can Nemaja Vidic stop Arsenal's marathon man Oliver Giroud? Giroud has started all 10 of Arsenal€™s Premier League games this season, and also all four of their Champions League matches, and will once more be pressed into frontline action against United on Sunday. The French striker has scored five league goals this season but just one in his last seven matches, and it will be up to Vidic to ensure that barren spell in front of goal stretches to one more game at Old Trafford. As the Gunner's biggest goal-threat, Giroud will be expected to deliver the goods against United, but will also be expected to bring his midfield into the game as well. The Frenchman is a tricky customer to deal with in that he has excellent movement and always looks to create space for the likes of Aaron Ramsey to exploit, and it will be interesting to see how Vidic copes with this.
