1. Robin van Persie vs Per Mertesacker
It's always interesting when Robin van Persie takes on his former club, this being only his third league appearance against the Gunners since leaving them last summer. The ex-Arsenal skipper was considered a hero to the Emirates faithful before switching Arsenal's red for United's, and Gooners will be hoping he doesn't perform for a change. As United's chief goal-threat, alongside Wayne Rooney, any success the Red Devils enjoy at Old Trafford is likely to be able to be traced back to the Dutchman. Van Persie endured something of a torrid time midweek, missing a penalty in the 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad, and he will be looking to put that behind him by getting his name on the scoresheet on Sunday. Per Mertesacker is a capable defender however, and has finally nailed down his place in the Gunner's starting XI this season with a series of solid performances. The German will be hoping he can keep United's attack at bay here and justify Arsene Wenger's faith in him. Prediction: 1-1 With a result that will suit neither side, I expect both to cancel each other out. Who do you think will come out on top?
