5. Keeping Wayne Rooney Calm
This may seem like an odd task for Hodgson and it is one area that I feel has been blown slightly out of propitiation by the media; however it is one obstacle that still must be addressed. Without doubt out of the entire squad Wayne Rooney is most renowned for having the proverbial red mist descend before his eyes, as shown by his dismissal against Montenegro prior to Euro 2012. Rooney has improved his temperament during his career, something Sir Alex Ferguson will have no doubt worked on, but a leopard does not change his spots and there is always that potential for Rooney to lose his cool again. The Montenegrins will be fully aware of the strikers ability to boil over so do not be surprised if early on a few big tackles go in on Englands number 10. It will be up to Rooney to rise above this and I am sure given the extensive media coverage his last sending off got that he will. However there is always that nagging doubt with Wayne Rooney and Hodgson will have to be wary of this. So what do you think? Are there any more threats Hodgson must deal with? Can England secure a crucial win? Have your say below.
