Montenegro vs England: 5 Threats Hodgson Must Overcome

5. Jovetic and Vucinic

Jovetic There is no doubt that the front two of Montenegro pose the biggest threat to Hodgson€™s men. Both players have been in impressive form for their respective club sides and consequently have been linked with an array of Premier League teams, indeed many pundits are billing tonight€™s game as a shop window for the lethal duo. Simply put Jovetic and Vucinic turn an otherwise average Montenegrin side, into a team which can cause any defence problems. After a lacklustre performance against Moldova on Friday night, where a stalemate seemed inevitable, once again the team€™s star duo bailed them out €“ this time Mirko Vucinic found the net with only 12 minutes remaining. With England in the middle of a centre back crisis both strikers will fancy their chances to make the difference this evening. Hodgson will need to keep a particular eye out for Jovetic; the talismanic front man will look to drop off his strike partner and exploit the space in between the midfield and back four. If he is not picked up there could be disastrous consequences for England.
