Newcastle Premier League Managers Ranked By Win Percentage

1. Kevin Keegan (First Era) - 55.75% (But 54.98% If 1991-92 And 1992-93 Results Included)

Newcastle United Manager: February 5th 1992-January 8th 1997 Games In Charge (If 1991-92 And 1992-93 Results Included): 174 (251) Won (If 1991-92 And 1992-93 Results Included): 97 (138) Drew (If 1991-92 And 1992-93 Results Included): 34 (51) Lost (If 1991-92 And 1992-93 Results Included): 43 (62) Win Percentage (If 1991-92 And 1992-93 Results Included): 55.75% (54.98%) Reason For Leaving: Resigned Now we reach the very top of the list - and inevitably it's the manager of the mid-1990s "Entertainers", Kevin Keegan. Although his second spell in charge of the Magpies was nowhere near as successful, King Kev's first appointment as Newcastle boss by Sir John Hall proved to be a masterstroke. First helping the club avoid relegation from the old Second Division in 1991-92, Keegan then led Newcastle to promotion in 1992-93 - before unleashing an exciting Entertainers side on the Premier League. Most notably, the Magpies were narrowly pipped to the Premier League title in 1995-96 despite having led the table for a large portion of the season, and this made Keegan one of the most-popular - if not the most popular - managers in Newcastle's history. If Keegan's lower-league results are not included then he tops the tree with a 55.75% win ratio (97 victories from 174 games) - but even if they are factored in then he is still the only Magpies boss in the Premier League era with a win ratio of more than 50 per cent (54.98%, with 138 victories from 251 games). How Magpies supporters would love excitement like KK provided them with again right now.
