5. Hatem Ben Arfa
A broken tibia and fibula along with hamstring injuries have wrecked Hatem Ben Arfa's first three seasons at St James' Park, limiting the midfielder to just 49 appearances since 2010. As such, we have only had brief glimpses of what the Frenchman is capable of in the Premier League, which is disappointing considering how well he did at Marseille. And we may well have already seen Ben Arfa play for Newcastle for the last time already with Liverpool believed to be weighing up a move for the winger. Having missed out on Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Xherdan Shaqiri this summer, Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to land a wideman before the transfer window slams shut, and he has identified Ben Arfa as
the player he wants to fill that role. As such, Newcastle may receive a bid in the region of £6 million for Ben Arfa this summer and that sort of offer would be a difficult one to turn down for a player who has scarcely played for the past three seasons.
