1. Gabriel Obertan
Gabriel Obertan was first brought to England by Manchester United in 2009 after the Red Devils signed the Frenchman from Lorient, but the move ended in disaster. The 24-year-old only managed a return of one goal in 24 appearances for United and was subsequently shown the exit door after just two seasons at Old Trafford, being sold to Newcastle. And Obertan hasn't exactly enjoyed a reversal in fortunes in the North East, either. The midfielder only made 14 Premier League appearances for the Magpies last season, 71% of which came from the bench. And, having spent four seasons in France at Bordeaux and Lorient, the winger could be set for a return to his home country with
reports earlier this year suggesting there could be interest from Ligue 1. Which wouldn't be too surprising considering his goal-ratio at St James' Park is just 2 in 49 appearances - even worse than his return to Old Trafford, amazingly.
