Newcastle United's 11 Top Premier League Goal Scorers

5. Nolberto Solano - 37

Probably the best foreign player ever to play for Newcastle, Solano was better known as a great maker of goals and Alan Shearer's favourite supplier, but over the course of his career on Tyneside he scored some important and eye-catching goals too. He had a right-foot that could open an envelope from 30 yards away, and on top of that he has a good shout at being the best free-kick taker the club has ever seen. Best Goal: A supreme set-piece taker, Solano's incredible howitzer against Leeds on Boxing Day 2000 was his finest, hitting the net from an astonishing distance. To top it off the Peruvian pulled his shirt up to reveal €œMerry Christmas Newcastle€.
