5. Marcelo Bielsa (Unemployed)
As I have said in previous articles, it can be a dangerous game to go for a manager that it currently out of work since that means he will have failed elsewhere. However, maybe some of that doesnt apply to Marcelo Bielsa since he comes with a wealth of footballing experience. The Argentine coach can point to spells in charge of Newells Old Boys, Atlas, America, Velez Sarsfield, Espanyol, Argentina, Chile and Athletic Bilbao during his extensive management career. However, he hasnt managed in England before and doesnt seem to stay with any one club for a great deal of time. Bielsa is currently seen to have a 16/1 chance of netting the Norwich City job, and if it were to happen it would perhaps be seen as a change of direction for the club. Hiring a foreign manager would certainly show that Norwich are seeing themselves as an international product that needs to attract a worldwide audience. Nevertheless, I would be surprised if such a move was made prior to this coming summer.
