NUFC: 10 People Who Will Get The Loudest Boos At St James Park This Season

8. Callum McManaman

On the 17th March, 2013, Callum McManaman threw himself into Massadio Haidara's left kneecap, prompting John Carver (who was a coach at the time) to 'have a word' with the player as he left the pitch for half-time. Wigan's response to the horrific tackle was embarrassing with Roberto Martinez claiming that McManaman wasn't 'that type of player' and a long-winded description of how Wigan Chairman Dave Whelan broke his leg during the 1960 FA Cup Final (that didn't appear to be at all relevant). It turns out that the West Brom midfielder kind of is 'that type of player' as he managed to knock out Crystal Palace defender Jonathan Parr with a challenge the following year and is widely known for his hot-headed tendencies. The Newcastle fans won't be letting him off the hook for his challenge on their left-back when they welcome him to St James' Park in February 2016.
