It will be interesting to see the response that Alan Pardew receives when he returns to the ground he spent four years at. Undoubtedly there was more lows than highs during his precarious tenure at St James' Park but the manager has spoken highly about the club (in that smarmy Pardew way) since leaving and will no doubt try to get the Geordie fans on his side. If he does receive a lot of hostility then it will be nothing new to the Palace boss who was consistently jeered during his final years at the club. Pardew's performance and managerial ability has split the Magpies' supporters into two camps, some of which who would like to still have him in the dugout now and some who never want to speak of his name again.
