One Player That Would Improve Every Premier League Team Next Season

8. Manchester United - Dayot Upamecano

United's attacking talent came to the fore in the second half of the season and managed to pull them over the line into the Champions league places but this should not distract from United's frequent failings at the back.

De Gea has been undeniably poor, but his demonstrated talent and Dean Henderson's emergence mean the position is not critical just yet. CB however is another issue. Lindelof is a serviceable defender at best and £80 million rated Harry McGuire has too easily and too often been turned inside out this season. RB Leipzig's young, athletic and powerful defender Dayot Upamecano may be the answer to United fans' prayers.

The hulking Frenchman is deceptively spry and would add an athleticism to United's backline. United have tended to come unstuck against counter-attacking teams and someone like Upamecano could make a real difference tracking and over-powering runners in such situations. A real coup for United if they could pick him up.
