3. Nuri Sahin (Liverpool, loan)
Skip to 0:36. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvNjSHRtDIg&feature=related What a signing, for both parties involved. Real Madrid loan a player who could potentially upset the dressing room if he complained about a lack of game time, Sahin gets the valuable first-team experience he wants and needs, and Liverpool gain a promising left-footed playmaker to partner Joe Allen in midfield. It was actually surprising to see him spurn Arsenal in favour of the Reds, combating the view some people hold that Liverpool have lost their transfer clout. Like Allen and Gerrard, Sahin is a player with an eye for a killer ball, with his record already standing at 1 goal and 1 assist in 3 league games. He also scored both of Liverpool's goals in a 2-1 win over West Brom in the cup. As a loanee, he can't expect to start every game for the Reds, but if his form continues in a similar vein, there may be some truth in the rumour surrounding a permanent transfer come the end of the season. Rating: 8/10 More than deserves his chance.
