3. Darren Bent 
Depending on what you choose to believe, Darren Bent was not getting selected for a struggling Villa side because of a falling out with Paul Lambert, because he was close to triggering a payment to Sunderland for reaching 50 league appearances, or because he has not been very good. 176 career goals shows Bent is a goalscorer however the feeling has been that he offers very little else. For a team like Liverpool, that creates plenty of chances but does not always finish them off, Bent would be a good fit at the right price. He is currently injured until the middle of January, but that might just lower his price a little bit more.
2. Florent Malouda
Another who has disappeared completely off the radar, Malouda could have moved in the summer but refused to take a drop in his £80,000 a week wages. Six months training away from the first team may have altered the Frenchmans thinking a little. At 32 he may be a short term option for a few clubs, and he was linked with former side Lyon and teams in Brazil.
