Premier League: 5 January Transfers That Won't Happen

1. Mario Balotelli To Leave Manchester City

mario Balotelli 3 The prodigal son. The joker. A muppet. He goes by many names, but everyone knows who he is. Mario is seemingly Mancini's pet project, and has confessed his less-than-secret love for the player on more than one occasion. I just think that Balotelli's too much of a laugh to get rid of. Either that, or no one will have him. Take your pick. There's also a darker side to the argument as to why he won't leave. In a way, Balotelli has come to represent Mancini's reign at City, and the board might see the player as a reflection of Mancini's success or failure. Mancini simply can't afford to concede that he may have been wrong, that not even he could tame the beast, lest the entire house of cards come crashing down and it all looks rather bad on the manager. Just a thought. As always, I'd love to hear your own opinions and feedback on if you think these players will go or not, or on other players who you think might move.
