Premier League: 5 Most Impressive Players So Far This Season

4. Roberto Soldado

Tottenham's one-time club-record signing Roberto Soldado has also impressed in the Premier League since joining from Spanish side Valencia in the summer. The 28-year-old was the fifth-highest-scoring player in La Liga last season, behind only Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Radamel Falcao and Alvaro Negredo. His form last term convinced Spurs to part with £26 million for his services, making him their most expensive player until the arrival of Erik Lamela. And that investment has paid off - for the most part - with the Spain international bagging four goals in five appearances for his new club, including two in four Premier League outings. Though he hasn't scored since the win over Swansea last month, big things are expected of the man who, it is hoped, will help fill the void left by the departure of Gareth Bale.
