Premier League: 6 Summer Signings That Are Failing

1. Jesus Navas - Manchester City

Manchester City summer signing Jesus Navas has been the most surprising disappointment this campaign. The Spanish international was one of the most outstanding performers for Spain during the Confederations Cup, but has yet to perform at the same level for his new club. His most notable contribution for City this season was his assist for teammate Samir Nasri to score against fierce title rivals Manchester United, but such moments have been few and far between this season. Upon joining the Citizens, Navas revealed he suffered from homesickness which had prevented him moving from Spain to England seasons earlier. Based on his slow start to the 2013/14 campaign, it would seem his mind is elsewhere, as he hasn't come close to convincing supporters he was worthy of the £17 million spent to procure his signature. After featuring in every league game this season, he's been confined to cameo appearances in two of City's last four games - while failing to feature at all in their recent 3-1 win over Everton.
