Premier League: 6 Summer Signings That Are Failing

2. Iago Aspas - Liverpool

Liverpool winger Iago Aspas has been extremely underwhelming for his new side. Big things were expected of the player coming off the back of having scored 50 goals in 152 games for struggling La Liga side Celta Vigo. Unfortunately, Aspas hasn't been able to showcase much, if any, of the talent that led Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers to part with £8 million this summer. The 26-year old is yet to score or assist for the Reds in the league in his first six games. Rodgers has tried to persist with playing him, but it won't be long until the Spaniard risks losing his place altogether unless he can find his feet soon. Liverpool have enjoyed a good start to the Premier League season, but with certain first-team personnel returning, Aspas could be forced to make his next handful of appearances from the bench as a result.
