7. Derek Llambias In Charge

It's not exactly new news, but Derek Llambias will be a big player in the immediate future of Rangers. He might only be a consultant for now, but it's only a matter of time before Llambias applies for, and is given the CEO job. And in all honesty, he will probably be the best candidate for the job: he is uncompromising to a fault, dogged, brilliant at getting value out of everything and stripping away superfluous costs. Llambias is a formidable figure, more a super-negotiator than a wheeler-dealer, and what he doesn't know about the instruments of business management isn't worth knowing. He doesn't know as much about people management, or about how to deal with fans or customers on the different level that football requires, but he is probably the best CEO Rangers can hope for at the minute, because he won't take any sh*t.
