Marcus Brimage will forever be a quiz question in MMA circles.

Tasked with welcoming Conor McGregor to the UFC on the prelims of this Stockholm card, Brimage had some early success. He came out and pushed the pace early, and his pressure caused McGregor some early problems. McGregor was happy, as he often is, to fight on the counter - but he was taking shots, and finding air with his early replies.

One of the features of McGregor fights has always been his ability to adjust quickly when things aren't going his way. He did it here. McGregor opened up his kicking game, landing to the chest and pushing Brimage back. When Brimage came forward, McGregor countered with some looping uppercuts, and his opponent walked straight into one. The fight was stopped after just 66 seconds.

McGregor had taken more damage than usual, but made a quick adjustment to score a TKO win in his UFC debut. He was awarded a knockout of the night bonus over Matt Mitrione and Ross Pearson who also scored KO wins on the night.

A star was born.
