Much like Lukaku, Barry joins Everton after a season on loan, though minus the £28M price-tag as he joined the club on a free transfer. The 33-year-old gives Everton so much experience in the centre-of-midfield, especially when playing alongside young James McCarthy. Barry protects Everton's defence extremely well with his constant closing down and last ditch challenges along with having excellent vision on the ball. He was one of the club's best players last season and to acquire his services again only benefits Roberto Martinez's men. What Barry does when he is on the pitch is adds a real confidence to every one in the team, especially McCarthy as the Irishman knows he will have cover if he is to get forward. His Champions League experience with Man City will also prove vital when Everton face top European clubs Lille and Wolfsburg in the Europa League this season. The former England International will be a pinnacle in midfield when his side face different styles of play across the continent, which may take some other players around him some time to get used to.
