Rating Liverpool's 7 New Summer Signings

1. Adam Lallana

Arguably Liverpool's best signing of the summer is Adam Lallana. Lallana was the subject of protracted interest from the Reds before and even during the World Cup and finally completed his move to Anfield on July 1. Signed for £25 million, he is the Merseyside giant's costliest purchase of the summer and thus carries the greatest weight of expectation. There is every chance he can flourish at Liverpool. He is already a household name in the Premier League after scoring nine goals for the Saints last season and was easily one of their stand-out performers, being named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year for 2013€“14. The tricky midfielder was also named in England manager Roy Hodgson's 23-man World Cup squad after also impressing at international level and has been capped nine times for the Three Lions. Injury means he will miss the start of the Reds' league campaign but he is expected to hit the ground running upon his return from the treatment room, and he is unquestionably Liverpool's most exciting signing of the summer so far.
